Want to know more about The Mac App? Read on!

Introducing the all new and improved Mac App. With an exciting new range of features including News, Savings Goals, Card Management, Product Info, App Personalisation and the ability to apply for loans - the new app will make your banking even simpler.

  How do I get The Mac App?

You can download The Mac App from the App Store or Google Play Store. Best of all, its free for Members of The Mac.

  How do I access my accounts in The Mac App?

To use The Mac App, you need to be registered for Online Banking. If you are not registered for Online Banking, please contact our team on 1300 622 278 or pop into your local branch.

When you first open The Mac App, you will be prompted to register using your Member Number and Online Banking Password. If you do not know your Member Number or Online Banking Password, please contact us on 1300 622 278.

Once you are registered you can set up either a PIN, pattern or Touch ID (if your phone has this capability) to access The Mac App in the future.

  Can I see and/or manage my own devices?

You sure can! Once you are logged into your account, tap on Accounts and then open the Menu. Under Settings, there is the option to Manage Devices. To remove a device, simply swipe it and select Remove. You'll then need to re-register to use The Mac App.

  What happens if I forget my PIN, Pattern or Touch ID doesn't work?
  • If you forget your PIN, Pattern or Touch ID doesn't work and  you haven't locked yourself out of The Mac App, you can click on the Accounts tile and tap Forgot Login. You will then be able to reset your PIN, Pattern or Touch ID using your Online Banking login details.
  • If you forget your PIN, Pattern or Touch ID doesn't work and you have locked yourself out of The Mac App, you will need to contact us on 1300 622 278.
  Does The Mac App have a logout button?

Yes, The Mac App does have a logout button. It also has a time out period, so if you leave your phone unattended  with The Mac App open it will automatically log you out after a short time.

  What happens if my phone is lost or stolen?

Please contact The Mac on 1300 622 278.

  What happens if I get a new phone?

You will need to re-register The Mac App on your new phone. You can then de-register your old phone using the Manage Devices option in the Settings menu.

  Can I personalise my Mac App?

You sure can! Simply go to the Settings menu within the Accounts screen. You can add photos and even change the order that your accounts are listed.

  Can I see my account balance without logging in?

Yes. Simply go to the Settings menu within the Accounts screen and set up a Quick Balance from the account you wish to see. From the Home Page of the App, you can double tap the Accounts tile and your chosen balance will be displayed. You can see this balance without logging into The Mac App. If you want to complete a transaction or view more information, you will need to login. 

  Do the old Mobile Banking services still exist?

You can access a simplified link to the original Mobile Banking services by going to the Additional Services menu from the Accounts screen. Here you can see your interest details, personal details, BSB and account numers, last login and request for a Mac Team Member to contact you.

  Can I set up a Savings Goal?

One of the new features of The Mac App is the Savings Goal feature. Simply tap the Savings Goal tile and you can enter details of your savings goal - you can even add a picture that will progressively change to full colour the closer you get to your goal.

  Can I manage my own Visa Debit Cards within The Mac App?

Yes. We've introduced Card Management capabilites. Within the Cards tile you can activate a new card and cancel a lost, stolen or damaged card and order a new card. You can even lock and unlock your card temporarily. 

  Why can't I see my accounts or transfer funds?

It could be that your Online Banking access is restricted or you aren't registered for Online Banking. Please contact our friendly team on 1300 622 278 or pop into your local branch and we can fix that for you.

  Can I use Facial Recognition to open The Mac App?

Yes! If your device has facial recognition capability, you can use this to log in to The Mac App. To use this, you will need to ensure that Facial Recognition has been enabled under Settings/Face ID & Passcode/Other Apps.
